We recently welcomed students from NU Teams, University of Newcastle’s professional Engineering Teams, to take part in an ‘Industry Partner Site Tour’ of 4Tel and 4AI Systems. The goal was to improve industry connection and accessibility for emerging Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering students.
4Tel and 4AI Systems is a proud sponsor of NU Teams, who design, build and compete across three projects:

- NU Racing – a fully electric open wheel style vehicle.

- NU Marine – a fully autonomous marine vessel.

- NU Rocketry – a rocket that is launched to reach 10,000ft.
The site tour was hosted by two members of our Systems Integration Team, Marisa McLean and Holly Nicholas, who are past and present members, respectively, of NU Racing.
Our Group CEO, Joanne Wust, provided students with an overview of our work and long-standing relationship with the university. Our AI Engineering Manager, Dr Aaron Wong, who also delivers guest lectures at the university, introduced students to 4AI Systems technology.
The tour went excellently and everyone got immense value out of it. We look forward to watching the progress of NU Teams this year.
