Tony Crosby GM Services and Graham Hjort GM Control Systems spoke at the Heavy Hail Rail Conference on the “Interoperability of Data for Improving the Productivity of Rail Operations”. Their topic covered:
- Describing how the NSW Country Rail Network uses interoperable data
- Using interoperable data for rail safety applications
- Describing a general interoperability model for electronic rail systems
- Using real-time data to improve rail services productivity
Using real examples from the systems deployed on the NSW Country Regional Network, the speakers showed how significant innovation can be introduced into any remote or regional rail network. The presentation was very well received by the delegates with many positive comments.
